I slept 10 hours last night.  Absolutely stunned when I woke up this morning.  This is now my 5th day following a chemo treatment and I’m still feeling pretty good. Even went shopping last night with Ron to the mall and spent 4 hours X-mas shopping. I did have to stop and sit a couple of times, but still able to enjoy it and not feel like I was totally fatigued.
I’m trying to figure out what exactly is different this week and have decided that it’s a couple of things.  The prednisone seems to be managing my lung infection, Judy did a total body “balancing” acupuncture session Monday night, and I’ve stopped worrying about work and am just relaxing and enjoying the time to heal.
It will be interesting to see what my blood work looks like tomorrow.  I’m actually looking forward to seeing the #’s. My appetite is also back, but now I have to be careful that I continue to eat food that is good for me and not just in response to the carbo needs of the prednisone. Although it is football Sunday and I’m a BIG PATRIOTS fan so there may be some chips and queso in my future J  How’s that for artery clogging – but you know what – I’ve got cancer – so if queso once in awhile floats my boat – I’m not denying myself.
One other note – my hair seems to be attempting to grow back in.  I’ve got this fine blond “duck down” covering my whole head.  It makes me look like I have a fuzzy head. How’s this for a vision – fuzzy head, no eyebrows, and sporadic eyelashes…..LOVELY!
